    Quassy Amusement Park offering teachers free admission this weekend

    WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) – In a nod to our state’s hardworking educators, Quassy Amusement and Waterpark will offer teachers free admission for the first weekend in May.

    Teacher Appreciation weekend is scheduled for May 4 and 5.

    “Teacher Appreciation Weekend is our way of recognizing the incredible contributions of educators who play a vital role in shaping the future,” said Eric Anderson, Quassy’s president, in a statement Tuesday.

    “Combined with our Quassy Cares Neighbors in Need initiative, we are proud to offer a weekend filled with fun, gratitude, and community support,” he continued.

    To get in for free, teachers will need to present their valid school ID or other documentation showing their employment at a school.

    Their guests will be able to get in for a discounted $17 with a donation to Quassy Cares in the form of one non-perishable item or home cleaning product.

    The weekend includes a continuation of the Quassy Cares Neighbors in Need initiative , which supports Acts4Ministry and local communities through essential supplies for those in need.
