WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said Tuesday that it arrested four teenagers for stealing mopeds in D.C.

MPD said that the first incident happened on Sunday around 5:45 p.m. Police said that the victim was sitting on his moped at 11th and O streets in Southeast when two suspects approached him.

One of the suspects took out a gun and demanded that the victim hand over his property and moped. The victim did, and the suspects left on the moped. MPD said that the moped was recovered.

The suspects escaped with the victim’s moped. Officers recovered this moped as well.

MPD said that a 15-year-old boy from Temple Hills, Md.; a 16-year-old boy from Southeast, D.C.; a 16-year-old boy from Southwest, D.C.; and an 18-year-old with no fixed address were arrested and charged with the incidents that happened on Monday.
