National Museum of American History received bomb threat

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The National Museum of American History’s building received a bomb threat Thursday evening.

DC’s Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking client data breached, Tyler Technologies says

Someone called in a bomb threat to the museum, located at 1300 Constitution Ave. in Northwest D.C., at around 5:30 p.m. The building had already closed to the public at that time but staff evacuated the building.

The U.S. Park Police and the Metropolitan Police Department searched the building before clearing it to be reopened to the museum staff.

The museum will open at its normal time at 10 a.m. Friday for guests.
