Duluth, Minn.- Registration has opened for a challenging Duluth event. 23rd Veteran is hosting its 9th Annual Ruck Life event on Saturday, June 1. The event features a 10-mile hike with weighted rucksacks to symbolize the burdens carried by veterans experiencing combat stress. Money raised from the march helps fund reconditioning programs for veterans in Duluth.

Northland College sees two more coaches resign
Two more coaches have resigned from their posts at Northland College. On Tuesday the school announced Jakob Wohlford is stepping down as their head men’s lacrosse coach. Wohlford departs after two years leading the Lumberjacks. He also played four seasons of lacrosse at Northland, and holds the record for most career points with 143 from 92 goals and 51 assists.

The Evelyn Goldberg Briggs Memorial Library, in partnership with the Iron River Fish Hatchery, has installed a story trail on the .57 Bobcat trail that is located about a quarter mile south of the intersection of Fairview and Weidenaar roads in Tripp Township of Bayfield County.
