Waseca tennis downs Stewartville ahead of Team Section Tournament

Monday night, the Waseca boys tennis team traveled to Stewartville to close out the 2024 regular season. The Bluejays earned a commanding 7-0 victory over the Tigers, bringing the spring to a close with a record of 12-3 ahead of the MSHSL Section 1A Team Tournament.

Only the doubles No. 1 and No. 2 matches reached a third set as Waseca controlled the action from the opening serve.

Postseason play begins Thursday, May 16, when the Bluejays host Red Wing in the first round of the Section 1A Team Tournament. Matches are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and a backup date in the event of rain is scheduled for Friday, May 17.
