Letter to the editor: Homeless shelters, not bike lanes
I could be wrong, but I'm thinking $1.275 million for a bike lane in Shafter is a big waste of taxpayer money. My wife and I live near Heath Road and Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield. We have driven down Stockdale between Heath and Allen Road hundreds of times and not once have we seen any bike riders in that big beautiful bike lane.
