WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Raising Cane’s is expanding its footprint in the Ocean State.

The fast-food chain is preparing to open another restaurant in Rhode Island.

The state’s first Raising Cane’s opened earlier this year at Stonehill Market Place in Johnston.

The second Raising Cane’s will eventually be located off of Bald Hill Road near the Warwick Mall.

Construction on the new restaurant is scheduled to begin this weekend, according to the fast-food chain.

The new restaurant is expected to open at the end of this year or in early 2025.

Another Raising Cane’s recently opened on Highland Avenue in Seekonk, which is just over the Rhode Island border.

The Louisiana-based chain primarily serves chicken fingers , along with crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and its signature “Cane’s Sauce.”
