    Rishel shines as JFK advances to district title game

    NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren JFK senior Jaden Rishel did it all for the Eagles during a 6-1 win over Maplewood in the Division IV District Semifinals on Tuesday afternoon.

    Rishel finished 3-for-3 at the plate with 4 runs batted in, while also striking out 8 batters during a 7 inning complete game where he allowed just 2 hits and was charged with no earned runs.

    The JFK offense totaled 12 hits as a team, with Taggart Carfangia, Michael Bartoe, Andrew Lapolla and Nico Ciminero all totaling 2 hits a piece.

    After the loss, Maplewood’s season comes to a close with an overall record of 14-5.

    Warren JFK improves to 17-7 on the season and will take on Mineral Ridge in the district championship in Niles on Thursday.
