WARREN, NJ — A day after clinching the conference championship with a 2-0 win over North Hunterdon, Riley Bobrowski threw a 5 inning no hitter, walking one and striking out 9 to lead Watchung Hills on Saturday to a 10-0 win over Mount St. Mary in the quarterfinals of the Somerset County Tournament. Bobrowski and Tia Shikar had 2 hits apiece for the Warriors. The game was over in five innings. The Warriors scored five runs in the first inning and another five in the second inning.

“When you start out a season, you hope to be able to compete for a conference, county and state championship," said WHRHS head coach Brian Figueriedo. "Yesterday we accomplished our first goal which was to win the conference championship and today was the first step in trying to accomplish our second which is the county title.  We wanted to come out and get an early lead on them, which we were able to do and we wanted to put the ball in play and pressure their defense, which we also did.  Their pitcher is tough so I thought we did a nice job all day putting the ball in play and having them have to make plays to get us out.  Pingry will be a tough opponent in the semifinals, but we’ll be ready to go and we’re going to defend our county title as best we can.”
