Man charged with April shooting incident in Clay County
WEST POINT – Clay County investigators have arrested a man in connection with an April shooting incident. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said deputies took a report of a firearms assault April 20 on Barton Ferry Road in eastern Clay County. That investigation led to the May 14 arrest of Latelvin Sample, 29, charged with aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

Starkville police charge man with burglaries, drugs
STARKVILLE – A Monroe County man is facing multiple felony charges after being arrested Sunday night in connection with the burglaries of a business and a vehicle. Starkville police officers were dispatched to Industrial Recyclers of Mississippi at 211 C. C. Clark Road on Sunday, May 19, around 10:15 p.m. A caller reported a suspect was observed leaving the area after burglarizing the business. The caller continued to actively provide information as officers responded to the area and their continued assistance was critical to the apprehension of the suspect.
