TEMPLE, Okla. (KSWO) - A Temple man is behind bars after authorities say he damaged a vehicle, broke into a home and assaulted a resident. David Pennington was arrested on Sept. 20 after the Cotton County Sheriff’s Department received a disturbance call from a home on East Idaho Street in Temple.

DUNCAN, Okla. (KSWO) - In Stephens County, a Duncan man faces five felony counts and 22 years in prison following a wild police chase early Sunday morning. Court documents allege that 28-year-old Michael Newman took a relative’s car without permission while intoxicated and then led officers on an extensive chase through Duncan.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service is provided more details about the two bison shot on private property about a mile away from the Wichita Wildlife Refuge over the weekend. Officials claim the bison were humanely euthanized over concern for diseases.

Dante Stevens says he had taken his uncle to hear elk bugling at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. A frequent visitor, he says they never would have gotten close to a bull on purpose.
