Former Needville Energy Company President Sentenced to 78 Months for Multimillion-Dollar Fraud Scheme
A former energy company president from Needville has been sentenced to a 78-month prison term for his involvement in a multi-million dollar illegal kickback and commodities insider trading scheme, according to federal authorities. Judge George C. Hanks of the U.S. District Court also ordered Matthew Clark, 56, to pay a hefty sum of $7,709,509 in restitution and to forfeit another $6,532,360; Clark had previously pled guilty to charges including honest services wire fraud and commodities insider trading on March 15.
Harris County shooting: 1 dead after shots fired near East Piper Grove, HCSO says
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Harris County authorities are at the scene of a deadly shooting in the Katy area on Saturday. Details are limited at this time, but according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, authorities responded to the 3800 block of East Piper Grove where they found a man dead from gunshot wounds.
