“The Story of Easter” concert is May 5 at 2 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker.

Kris O’Brien, the leader of the concert team, is in her fifth decade as a singer and guitarist. She was part of the Krisendale Duo that was managed for 11 years by Bob Dylan’s brother. They presented concerts in 25 states and fronted concerts for Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver and more.

Kris came off the road and then served for 40 years as worship, music and drama director at a large Lutheran church in Blaine. She has recorded some six albums, given and created retreats for both the Archdiocese of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Synod.

Come and experience the concert she’s created called “The Story of Easter.” Her concert team will inspire you with keyboards, synthesizers, seasoned vocals, guitar work and readers in a production that will go straight to your heart. Through incredible music, video images on screen and words that will take you from the quiet of the Christmas manger, to scripture passages of Jesus’ life, to the foot of his cross, to glorious Easter morning, you are promised a very deep and fulfilling experience. Tell a neighbor, bring a friend, but do make plans to come.

A free will offering will be taken (suggested donation of $10). If you are moved by this production and if you are able to give more, the concert team would welcome it. The proceeds from the concert support a video ministry called Straight to the Heart Media. Any checks written should be written to Kris O’Brien.

Visit the YouTube site and enjoy more than 50 of Kris O’Brien’s videos.

The concert team includes Kris O’Brien, lead vocal and guitar; Ardy Vos, pianist, and Linda Wallin, synthesist; Bonnie Morris, Dee and Gary Pierce readers; videos on screen from Straight to the Heart Media, Patty Amundsen; power point, CD tech, and Hope Lutheran volunteers.
