Veronica Rowe a 54-year-old Kosse resident was found deceased in her car at the Flying J in Waco on Monday, April 22. She had been missing since Wednesday, April 17.
According to family members, she had been driving for Uber in Waco and often stopped to nap when doing so overnight. When her phone started going to voicemail at 11 p.m. the family grew concerned. After not hearing from her for some time and noting her lack of activity on social media, they officially reported her missing to the Limestone County Sheriff's Office on Friday evening.
According to Limestone County Sheriff Murray Agnew, the Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with the Kosse Police Department and the Waco Police Department began searching for her immediately. A CLEAR alert was issued on Sunday, April 22, when they had still been unable to track her down.
A CLEAR alert helps law enforcement locate missing, kidnapped, or abducted adults who are in immediate danger.
There was cause for serious concern as she had only left home with enough insulin for one day and had left the breathing machine which she required daily at home as well.
On Monday Rowe was located and found in her car in the parking lot of the Flying J where she seemingly stopped to take a nap and never woke up.
