Paintsville City Council approves first reading of proposed burning restrictions
During its regular meeting on May 13, the Paintsville City Council approved the first reading of a new ordinance that would affect burn laws in the City of Paintsville. According to Paintsville Mayor Bill Mike Runyon, the ordinance was a response to an event on Fourth Street, where a fire got “out of hand” and ignited a hillside.
