Lions Rodeo coming June 14-15
The wait is over! The 66th annual Calico Rock Lions Club Rodeo is coming to town the weekend of Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15. The event, sponsored by the Calico Rock Lions and conducted by Rand Rodeo Company, will be held in the Tip Wiseman Rodeo Arena in Earl King Park located off Hwy 56 in Calico Rock. Friday evening gates will open at 6:00, with the rodeo action starting at 8:00. In a change this year, gates will open earlier on Saturday at 4:00 with the rodeo starting at 6:00.

Ash Flat woman dies after two-vehicle accident, 2 injured
An 87-year-old woman from Ash Flat has died after a two-vehicle accident in Highland over the Memorial Day weekend. The Arkansas State Police reported that on May 25, Geraldine W. Azil was a passenger in a southbound 2019 Buick on U.S. Highway 62/412 driven by 89-year-old Billy D. Azil, also of Ash Flat.

Man accused of running over woman while speeding away
CHEROKEE VILLAGE, Ark. (KAIT) – A Cherokee Village man is behind bars after police said he ran over a woman while speeding away and left the scene. According to a news release from the Cherokee Village Police Department, at about 9:03 p.m., on Wednesday, May 29, Officer Dominic Fortner was called to the 100 block of Cherokee Road for a woman who had been run over.

Driver faces charges in deadly drunken-driving crash in Howell County
WEST PLAINS, Mo. (KY3) - A driver faces charges accused of a drunken driving crash in Howell County. Taylor Hamby faces charges of DWI resulting in the death of another and two counts of DWI resulting in physical injury for the crash on December 23. Brian Powell, 28, died in the crash.
