Have a Day at the Beach near Fort Collins! | Horsetooth Reservoir

In general, Colorado and beaches do not go hand in hand. My first impression was that Colorado is landlocked with tons of mountains and only a few lakes here and there. Now if you have gotten around, you know this is not the case and there are many bodies of water with numerous beaches to be enjoyed. One of the closest beaches near Fort Collins is located by "Horsetooth Reservoir", one of the bigger reservoirs in the state popular for camping and water activities. It definitely is worth a visit if you want to lay in the sun by the water, with great views of the surrounding mountains!
