    Victor 8, Irondequoit 4

Victor raced out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back, earning a statement win over a fellow Class B contender.

Brody Secker scored the first of his three goals just 90 seconds into the contest. Colin Wightman and Aiden Clinkscales each scored goals in the first quarter to make it 3-0 heading to the second.

After Victor’s Jack Herendeen scored to open the second, Dylan Carey finally got Irondequoit on the board. However, Clinkscales answered less than a minute later. Victor led 6-2 at the half and never let their lead get below three goals.

Secker added an assist to his hat trick. Clinkscales had a pair, while Wightman, Herendeen, and Tanner Radogna each scored goals.

Carey, Cooper Moore, Jonah Carrier, and Hank Velepec each scored for Irondequoit.

The game was a rematch of the 2023 Class B semifinals. The Blue Devils won that game 16-9.

After losing two games to out of Section V opponents, Victor has racked up 11 straight wins. The defending Class B Section V champs, as well as the state runner-ups, are one of three teams in Class B more than a game above .500. Irondequoit (10-3) and Canandaigua (10-4) are the other two.

Victor will travel to Penfield on Thursday, May 9th while Irondequoit will host Canandaigua on the same evening.

    Pittsford 8, Penfield 6

The Panthers jumped out to a 4-2 lead by the end of the first quarter and rallied in the third to move above .500 on the season.

Pittsford kept their two-goal lead at the half, leading 5-3. However, Penfield started the third quarter strong, going on a 3-1 run to tie the game up at six.

But the Panthers had the last laugh. Luke Alva scored the game-winning goal later in the third quarter and Luke Fliss added an insurance goal with less than ten seconds to play in the frame to increase the lead to 8-6.

Neither team scored in the fourth quarter.

Ethan Aust and Brodie Joyce scored twice for Penfield. Adam Schembri and Zach Schores each tallied a goal.

Pittsford (6-5) will host Fayetteville-Manlius on Saturday, May 11th. Penfield will host Victor on Thursday, May 9th.
