Downtown Wilson construction winds down with paving, clearing barriers

WILSON, Wyo. — Construction work in downtown Wilson is nearing the end of the season, with work crews shifting focus to roadway and driveway paving before winter. According to a news release from Teton BUILD Grant, the fall work is scheduled to conclude within the next two to three weeks, weather permitting. The remaining concrete work and paving is expected to be completed next week.

On a foggy morning near the summit of Teton Pass, Rachael Dunlop picked her way to the top of a steep, loose rock field, known as talus, wearing a sweatsuit and gloves. The neuroscientist and wildlife photographer stepped carefully down the Mount Glory slide path where avalanches run often in winter. Occasionally, she dropped to her hands and rear on the unstable rock to reach coordinates provided by the state to the Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation, where she is one of a few dozen volunteers.

IDAHO FALLS — For over two hours, stakeholders debated the use and legality of Flock cameras in Idaho, where one point was clear from law enforcement leaders: Idaho must update its law on automatic license plate readers.
