(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Pet Expo is happening this weekend and will take over the Colorado Springs Event Center, located at 3960 Palmer Park Boulevard. Airport Road closed east of South Academy until May 9 for utility work
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Heads up, drivers! A major Colorado Springs corridor will be closed for the next week and a half for utility work. Colorado Springs Utilities announced over the weekend it would be shutting down Airport Road east of South Academy to install new underground utility lines across the intersection. It’s part of the ongoing Academy Boulevard Improvement Project, which intends to “improve the safety, provide better mobility and pedestrian access, and improve storm sewers on South Academy Boulevard between Bijou Street and Airport Road, and between East Fountain Boulevard and Jet Wing Drive.
