Schultz signs NLI to Binghamton University

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Binghamton University Men’s Swimming and Diving team won the conference championship this year.

On Wednesday, one of the best in Section 4 signed to join the Bearcats squad for next year.

Chenango Valley’s Tyler Schultz signed his NLI to join the B.U. Bearcats.

Joined by family, friends, coaches and teammates, Schultz celebrated the accomplishment.

A 3-time Section 4 champion and 3-time state qualifier, Schultz has had an incredible high school career.

After everything was made official, Schultz spoke about the signing.

“It’s just a really exciting time,” Schultz said. “And I’ll be able to join some of my former teammates, my brother will be on the team so, I can’t wait to be a teammate with him and some of my current teammates will be on that team also, so I can’t wait.”

Schultz says he plans on majoring in Electrical Engineering when he starts school in the Fall.
