Woman airlifted to Syracuse hospital after 2-vehicle crash at historic Central NY battlefield
Whitestown, N.Y. — A woman was airlifted to a Syracuse hospital Wednesday after an accident involving a historic battlefield, deputies said. At 8 p.m. near the Oriskany Battlefield in Whitestown, between Monument and Airport roads, two vehicles crashed, said Sgt. Thomas J. Pietruch, Jr., a spokesperson for the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

UTICA — The St. Elizabeth College of Nursing graduated 52 new nurses during its commencement exercise on Saturday, May 11. According to college officials, of the 52 graduates, 39 attended weekday classes and 13 participated in the evening/weekend program. The 118th graduation ceremonies were held at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, formerly the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, at 2222 Genesee St.
Whitestown vs. Zionsville Town Showdown Coming Tomorrow
The Town of Whitestown and Zionsville will face off in a friendly competition at the 2024. The towns announced that the event will take place as a conclusion of Zionsville’s Trailfest as members of both communities will be invited to showcase their town spirit by riding on the Big 4 to Heritage Trail Park at 4050 S. 875 E. In Zionsville. The event will kick off on tomorrow, Friday, May 17 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. as community members ride as a team to Heritage Trail Park.

Visitor restrictions lifted at Wynn Hospital
UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — The Wynn Hospital announced on Wednesday, May 15 that restrictions for their Maternal Child Units have been lifted. The restrictions, which were to better protect the hospital’s patients and employees from various respiratory illnesses such as flu and COVID, had been in place since December. The New York State Department of Health, as well as Mohawk Valley Health System maternity leaders, found the illnesses — among others — stated to no longer be prevalent and lifted the restrictions.
