City Clears out Downtown Utica Homeless Encampment
UTICA, N.Y. -- City crews, on Thursday, cleaned out a homeless encampment from a historic Utica building. "Over the past couple of weeks, things have been piling up and essentially what we found a couple days ago was an encampment. Some of the vestibules are being used as a bathroom, some of them for sleeping, but it's an enormous public health nuisance," says Mayor Mike Galime, who joined crews on clean-up duty.
