69-year-old Panama City woman dies in traffic crash near Southport
SOUTHPORT − A 69-year-old woman from Panama City is dead following a traffic crash Saturday. According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred about 9:50 a.m. near Kingswood and New Church roads. The area is located near Southport, which is toward the northern region of Bay County.

Ponce de Leon Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire at the old shirt factory late Friday night, May 31, going into the early morning. “Crews were faced with heavy smoke and zero visibility inside the building,” PDL Volunteer Fire and Rescue said in a Facebook post. “Thanks to the sprinkler system, the fire was contained and kept small until firefighters were able to fully extinguish the fire.”
