ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WKRG) — When you think of a relaxing day on the water this is probably not what you’re expecting to encounter. “We were actually in the water and some of the people on the coast were saying shark, shark and so we saw it,” said Stacie Savaiano. “It went right behind these two. They were out in the ocean and you could see the dark shadow of the shark go by. Very scary, very scary.”

Foley, Ala. - (OBA) - Foley, a city known for its commitment to progress, is set to embark on a major endeavor aimed at improving its airport facilities. In line with this vision, city officials have announced plans to demolish an old, storm-damaged house located on the corner of the Foley Airport. The move comes as part of an ongoing effort to expand the airport and enhance its capabilities.

DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) - FOX 10 spoke to State Representative Matt Simpson about legislation passed following a quadruple homicide earlier this year in Daphne. In February, 21-year-old Jared Tarant Smith-Bracy was charged with capital murder after admitting to killing his brother, grandparents and a family friend. Daphne Police say the bodies were found in the Lake Forest area of Daphne. Investigators say Smith-Bracy used a pickax during the brutal attack against one of the victims.

The Baldwin County Planning Commission is expected to consider today whether to revoke the permit for Bella Sera Gardens, an event venue outside of Loxley. The venue, which lies in a residential area and has operated for around nine years, has drawn the ire of its neighbors. Since 2018, planning and zoning staff have received numerous complaints from residents about the event venue, primarily relating to noise.

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - A drone on the lookout for sharks in the Gulf of Mexico captured the moment a small shark circled a man and child who were swimming at an Alabama beach. Drone video from 15-year-old Jackson Silvio shows the man and child going further out into the water at Orange Beach on May 29 as the shark follows and eventually swims out to sea. At one point, the shark was within a few feet of the swimmers.

A scary crash was reported in Alabama on May 30, 2023, in Birmingham, AL in which a plane had been reported to have crash-landed on train tracks. The plane was crash landed by a trainer pilot who was training a student in the cockpit, according to a social media post from the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Department.
