Attorney general rejects library agreement
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Arkansas’ attorney general has rejected an interlocal agreement between Craighead and Poinsett Counties concerning the local library. In an opinion issued on Monday, May 20, Attorney General Tim Griffin stated the agreement, which was approved by the Craighead County Quorum Court in February, does not meet all statutory requirements.

City calls special council meeting to discuss payroll issues
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - The City of Marked Tree called a special meeting Monday to approve the transfer of funds to cover payroll. City Council Member Michael Scott raised concerns about the longevity of the funds, asking, “As far as recuperating this, how long is this gonna last? This 40,000. How long will that last?
