Zinc Resources Receives TCEQ Approval to Recycle EAF Dust as Hazardous Secondary Material at its Victoria, Texas Facility
Victoria, Texas – March 20, 2023, Zinc Resources (ZR) announced today that it has received approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to recycle EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) dust as a hazardous secondary material at its facility in Victoria, Texas. This approval is in accordance with the EPA's 2018 Definition of Solid Waste rule (EPA DSW Rule). With this approval, generators of EAF dust can now send their material to ZR without it being manifested as a hazardous waste.

Perry to play for VC
By Kylie Fitch Staff Writer Edna High School senior Layla Perry signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Victoria College. Volleyball is a sport Perry has always enjoyed, so when the college offered her a position, she “immediately jumped and took it,” she said. Perry planned on attending Victoria College for her basics anyways, so her decision to play ball there was simple. Joining her is high school teammate Cassidy Brown. While attending college Perry plans to studying nursing so she can become a Nurse Practitioner. “Going from seventh grade C team to the option to play volleyball in college is a picture of hard work, coaches who never gave up on me, and a family that supports me along the way,” she said in her speech.

Robbery and shooting at game room near Laurent and Airline
VICTORIA, Texas - The Victoria Police Department said someone robbed a business at 2500 N. Laurent near the intersection of Laurent and Airline Wednesday night. People were inside at the time and shots were fired. Some of the people ran off. A security guard was hit and is expected to recover.
Traffic on Crestwood Drive between Navarro and Main Only Goes West
