Michigan lawmakers are attempting to strengthen state law as it relates to necrophilia, or sexual activity with a dead body. A package of bills recently introduced in the Senate would make it a crime to engage in any sexual contact with a dead human body. Current law stops at prohibiting the unlawful mutilation, defacing or moving of a body.
New state game area opens in Southwest Michigan for hunting, hiking
VAN BUREN COUNTY, MI -- Wildlife, hikers and hunters alike will benefit as a game area in Van Buren County comes under Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ control. The Paw Paw River State Game area is accessible to the public 24/7, year-round by boat or car, according to a press release. The muddy, undeveloped land can be used for hunting, foraging, bird watching or hiking.
