PREP VOLLEYBALL: Balanced Columbia tops Lowndes for ninth straight win
No team has been able to stop Columbia this month. Lowndes couldn’t Thursday night either. Another balanced effort paced the Tigers in a 26-24, 25-19, 13-25, 25-13 win over the Vikings at home for their ninth straight victory. Their front line kept the Lowndes defense off-balance all night as Autumn Jones and Kayla Goodloe had eight kills apiece, while Sinei Wood and Cassidy O’Neal each had six kills.

The Warriors racked up nearly 400 yards of offense on their way to a 29-0 shut-out of the Generals. Warrior quarterback Landon LaRosa threw for 10-for-17 for 150 yards and one touchdown. VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - The Valdosta State offense rarely slowed down and the Blazers defense rarely let up, as VSU beat the NAIA’s fourth ranked Keiser 49-25. V State (3-0) quarterback Sammy Edwards had a standout day completing 28-36 passes, racking up 479 and four touchdowns on the day while two receivers (B.K. Smith and Xavier Williams) went for over 100 yards.
Valdosta (GA) rallies past Newberry
There was a luau theme inside the Newberry High School gymnasium for the Panthers’ volleyball match against visiting Valdosta (GA).
