As the mercury soars to formidable heights, Arizonans brace themselves for another bout of extreme temperatures. An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Phoenix metro area, extending its scorching embrace from Tuesday through Thursday, as well as including other parts of the state like Casa Grande and Tucson, "Temperatures will top out well above normal heading into the middle part of this week as lower desert temperatures approach or exceed 110°," the advisory warns, reaching a potential peak of 113°F (45°C) on Wednesday and slightly relenting only to return to 111°F (43.8°C) by Saturday, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
