Colfax County moves to ease air ambulance costs

COLFAX — An emergency helicopter flight can bring a lifesaving response, but it can also leave patients facing substantial medical bills. Colfax County Commissioners moved to help residents manage that financial risk Oct. 27, approving agreements with PHI Air Medical for air ambulance coverage for county residents and inmates at the Vigil-Maldonado Detention Center.
