Des Moines man sentenced to life in prison after murder conviction
DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines man has been sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars for the 2021 shooting death of 21-year-oldKalvyn Kline. Darren Diggs was arrested shortly after the shooting in the 1600 block of Hull Avenue in October 2021. During the trial in March, prosecutors said the shooting happened after Kline called Diggs to buy Xanax. Evidence showed a man who looked like Diggs seen on video near the scene of the shooting.
