UPDATE: Teenager involved in Urbana vehicle-pedestrian accident

Update at 2:45 p.m.

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — Urbana Police have provided further information about an accident involving a pedestrian at Fairview and Lincoln Avenues Wednesday morning.

Officials said the pedestrian involved in the accident was 14 years old. They determined that the teen ran across Lincoln Avenue while a vehicle with a trailer was driving southbound.

The teen did not have the right of way, officials added, and ran into the trailer. They were taken to a hospital, but their injuries are said to be minor and they are expected to be ok.

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — Urbana Police responded to an accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian Wednesday morning at Fairview and Lincoln Avenues.

A juvenile was involved in the accident, but as of now officials believe they were not seriously injured.

Urbana Police told WCIA that investigations are still ongoing. There is no more information available at this time.
