'Cockroaches' term injects war of words into Wicomico campaigns

A dispute over whether Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano used the term "cockroaches" to refer to Haitian immigrants in the Eastern Shore community has broken out after an accusation made by Wicomico County Council District 7 candidate Joe Venosa. During the forum, Venosa stated: "We have an executive right now who has called Haitian immigrants cockroaches in public many times."
