    USF, Indiana Tech eliminated at NAIA Tournament

    WILLIAMSBURG, Kent. (WANE) – Saint Francis powered its way past Loyola (La.) on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 6-4 to advance in opening bracket play in the NAIA National Tournament.

    Norwell grad Eli Riley and South Side grad Xavier Croxton each hit a solo home run while Nick Parsons hammered a grand slam to pace USF.

    The Cougars would later fall to the University of the Cumberlands 11-6 in a loss that eliminated USF from the tournament. The Cougars finish the season with an overall record of 40-19.

    Meanwhile, Indiana Tech fell to Missouri Baptist 16-7 in an elimination game in Upland, Ind. The Warriors end the season with a 33-24 overall record.
