UCLA medical school accused of lowering admission standards
Whistleblowers at UCLA medical school say racial preferences have lowered the admission standards at the prestigious school. And as a result, more and more students are failing basic medical competency tests. Aaron Sibarium, a reporter at the Washington Free Beacon, broke the story and joined FOX 11 to talk more about it.
Meet John Muir Valedictorian Lauren Gray
Lauren Gray is graduating with a 4.6 GPA. This year, Lauren Gray was enrolled at Muir High School and at Pasadena City College. She majored in Gender Ethnic Studies, Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences and Social Justice studies, and earned Associate of Arts degrees in addition to her high school diploma. She was Senior Class President, Captain of the cheer team, Associated Student Body Alumni Commissioner, and a Pasadena City College Dual Enrollment Student Ambassador. In addition, her volunteer work includes assisting in teaching youth Mandarin Chinese at her former elementary school, being a Pasadena City Youth Ambassador at community events, and advocating for equity in all Pasadena schools as a member of the PUSD’s Student Think Tank. Lauren has also organized voter registration drives at her school by partnering with the League of Women’s Voters. After graduating from college, Lauren would like to work in the political law and legal field, combatting inequities that impact marginalized communities.
