Mechanicsburg recognizes retiring school bus driver
MECHANICSBURG – The Mechanicsburg School Board of Education met on Monday, May 13. The meeting began by recognizing Sue Propst, who is retiring after over 30 years of driving a school bus for Mechanicsburg Schools. The board, along with the director of transportation Matt Mayberry, presented Propst with a plaque and many thanks for her years of service to the school and its students.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signs legislation to limit cellphones in schools
NICK EVANS, Ohio Captial Journal — At a Dublin middle school Wednesday, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed legislation ordering school districts around the state to develop written policies for cellphones on campus. The state education department will write it’s own model policy that districts may adopt, but so long as they come up with something to keep cellphone use “as limited as possible” districts can do what they like.
