Yakima woman hospitalized after being hit by car in crosswalk
SELAH, Wash.-A Yakima woman was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Selah on the morning of May 14. According to the Washington State Patrol, a 32-year-old Yakima man in a Dodge Ram driving westbound on Goodlander Road turned left onto southbound 1st Street and hit the 63-year-old woman in the crosswalk around 9:38 a.m.
71-year-old man shot dead after making threatening comments while holding a gun
YAKIMA, Wash. - A 71-year-old man was shot in self-defense after threatening a family with a gun while on their property. According to the Yakima Police Department, officials responded to shots fired on May 11 at 3:30 p.m. Police found a 71-year-old dead of a gunshot wound. Police were able to find the 27-year-old shooter, who told officers that he shot the man to protect his family. A small pistol was found on the deceased man.
