Man to serve life in prison for murder of 19-year-old in Council Bluffs
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - A man learned Monday that he will spend the rest of his life behind bars in Iowa. Dontre Hudson, 21, was sentenced in Pottawattamie County District Court to life in prison without parole for first-degree murder plus 25 years for first-degree robbery. A jury convicted him on both counts last month.

Ongoing investigation after police find unresponsive man near 9th and Carter Lake Boulevard
Video shows the area of 9th and Carter Lake Boulevard where a 59-year-old man was shot Friday evening. On Friday around 7:50p.m. police were called to the area of 9th and Carter Lake Boulevard. When Police arrived, they found 59-year-old Bernard Leonard lying unresponsive next to a motorcycle. Shortly after, police discovered that Leonard was injured from a gunshot. The investigation is ongoing.
