Birch Run railroad crossing to close for 7-day construction project
BIRCH RUN, Mich. (WNEM) - Reconstruction of a railroad crossing in the village of Birch Run will start next week. Lake State Railway Company will begin work on Monday, Oct. 19. The work is expected to take seven days, with crews removing and replacing the mainline and siding tracks, installing new crossing panels and paving the roadway approaches.
