    Tupelo makes lot mowing policy changes ahead of expected growth in violations

    TUPELO — In an effort to free up the Public Works Department for other day-to-day tasks, the All-America City will contract its lot mowing for violations to outside contractors.

    Development Services Director Tanner Newman presented an upcoming change to the way the city mows overgrown lawns during a Tuesday afternoon work session. The plan, he said, is to contract multiple businesses to do the work with no change in overall cost to the city.
