TULAROSA, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) Traffic Safety Division is holding a car seat inspection clinic alongside Safer New Mexico Now.

On April 27, officials will inspect, and give instructions on installing, vehicle seats for children and babies. Parents, or caregivers, are asked to bring their car seat, seat manual, vehicle manual, and child (if possible). The event is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the NMDOT Tularosa Patrol Yard, 7679, US 54/70.

ABQ bus rides still haven’t recovered to pre-pandemic level

The clinic is free, but if you want a seat replacement (only available when a child is present), you may be subjected to a $35 fee.

For more information, you can call 800-231-6145 or 505-856-6143.
