Green Creek Hounds has announced that Thomas R. Cadier, MD, MFH, has been elected as Master of Green Creek Hounds and President of the Green Creek Hounds Corporation.

Dr. Cadier is a former Master of Shakerag Hounds (1985-1998) in Hull, Ga. He has fox hunted for over 40 years, most recently with Green Creek Hounds and Tryon Hounds, both in Polk County. Dr. Cadier is a former General Medical Officer of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University, Chicago. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University, and has practiced orthopedic surgery for nearly 40 years in the metro Atlanta area and now at St. Luke’s Orthopedic & Sports Medicine in Columbus.

Dr. Cadier lives in the Tryon community with his wife, Carolyn, and their four horses and five Irish Jack Russell terriers. In their spare time, they enjoy hiking, traveling, and managing their horse farm. Occasionally, Dr. Cadier still participates in jumper competitions. He and his wife, who competes in dressage and eventing, have a son in sound engineering, a daughter in healthcare management, and a granddaughter about to graduate from college.
