Troy, Tx ( FOX 44 ) – UPDATE: The victim of a crash in Troy has been identified as a missing woman out of Harris County.

Troy Police officers responded to a stalled vehicle at Mile Marker #306 at approximately 4:41 p.m. Wednesday. The call was then updated to a major accident, where an 18-wheeler struck a Ford Bronco.

Troy Police officers and Troy Volunteer Fire personnel provided life-saving care to the injured person in the Ford Bronco. Fire personnel used hydraulic rescue tools to free the person. The driver of the 18-wheeler reported minor injuries.

Troy Police led the accident investigation, with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The injured person in the Ford Bronco has been identified as 66-year-old Tracy Kathryn Rambosek, who was listed as a missing person out of Harris County. Harris County Constable Precinct 4 entered Rambosek as missing on Tuesday, May 21.

Troy Police contacted Rambosek ‘s family. She was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital with life-threatening injuries. There is no information of why Rambosek was visiting the Central Texas area, or why the Ford Bronco was stopped in the lane of traffic.

This comes after a traffic crash involving an SUV and an 18-wheeler snarled Wednesday morning traffic in Troy. DPS reported the crash occurred on southbound Interstate 35, near the Mile Marker #308.

As of 9 a.m., southbound I-35 traffic appeared to have been moving again.

This is a developing story. FOX 44 News will have more information as it becomes available.
