NYSP arrests Troy woman for drug possession

MENANDS, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The New York State Police arrested Hannah Olszowy, 21, of Troy, on Monday following a traffic stop. Olszowy faces multiple drug charges.

Charges

• Second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
• Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
• Two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
• Unlawful possession of cannabis
• Driving while ability impaired by drugs
• Vehicle and traffic law violations

State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on I-787 in Menands for multiple car and traffic violations and identified the driver as Olszowy. The police arrested Olszowy for allegedly driving while impaired by drugs and conducted an investigation finding that she allegedly had hallucinogenic substances and cannabis in the car.

Olszowy was processed at the State Police headquarters in Latham where she refused to give a sample for a drug test. She was arraigned at Menands Village Court and placed in the Albany County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
