The Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts recently introduced Chewbacca, nicknamed Chewy, who they describe as a funny fella who loves everyone. “This adorable mutt is built like an oversized Shih Tzu and weighs 25 lbs. Since he was found as a stray and never claimed, we don't know much about his past.” Chewy has a personality as unique as his looks. "He is overly friendly with all, dogs included. He can come on a bit strong but in the kindest way. He wants everyone to be his friend!" states the Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts, who is currently caring for Chewy until he finds his forever home.

Council members Shontel Lewis and Flor Alvidrez voted against the contract. Lewis said while the Salvation Army has made some “long overdue” promises, nothing in the contract holds them accountable to data-driven metrics. “We can’t just throw money around to solve a problem.” She added the city needs to “bake into every contract” data expectations that will be used to hold the agency accountable. The local animal shelter explains that Finn "comes with some quirks but from what we've seen, is overall a friendly and goofy lab puppy". In fact, the shelter believes it would be "hugely beneficial for Finn to live with a playful, larger dog so he can get some of his energy out appropriately."
