A brief break from strong winds overnight before they crank up again tomorrow afternoon
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - It was another windy day today as the strong winds took front and center stage in the weather. While not as strong as yesterday in most spots, that wasn’t the case out west where winds gusted to as high as 70 mph in the McCook and Sydney areas. As the upper level low pressure system that brought severe weather and strong winds yesterday continues to spin northeast out the region, winds will gradually come down overnight. However, with the approach of a frontal boundary from the north tomorrow, the winds will strike up once again tomorrow afternoon. Though not as strong as what we have had this weekend. Lows a bit cooler tonight than last ranging from the low 30s northwest to upper 30s southeast.
