South Lenoir FFA Chapter annual banquet held
The South Lenoir FFA Chapter held their annual Banquet in May. The FFA Banquet is a one time a year event for students to get recognized for their hard work and dedication in the organization. Keynote speaker Jason Brown, a retired NFL player, spoke on the importance of agriculture and service to our community. Bryan Diaz, NC FFA Vice President, also attended and spoke to the group about finding purpose in whatever work you do. Nearly 200 members and guests attended this year’s banquet.
Jersey Mike’s to open new location in Kinston
Jersey Mike’s Subs, a popular submarine sandwich chain, is set to open a new location in Kinston at 4153 West Vernon Avenue, according to their website.
