One dead, one injured in two-vehicle crash in Pittsford

One person is dead and another injured following a crash in Pittsford on Friday.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the two-vehicle crash around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Jefferson Road and Park Square Lane. Deputies said a vehicle traveling east on Jefferson Road struck another vehicle making a left turn onto Jefferson from Park Square Lane.

The first vehicle's driver, a 66-year-old male from Pittsford, was not injured. The second vehicle's driver, a 16-year-old male from Brighton, sustained severe lower extremity injuries and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. His passenger, a 60-year-old male from Brighton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. Poor weather conditions and low visibility are believed to have contributed to the crash, deputies said.
