Enbridge says Line 5 back in service
Enbridge says its damaged Line 5 pipe is back in service after an unoccupied truck rolled into an open work area in late August. Teams set up a temporary bypass around the damaged section. Work continues on environmental testing, remediation, and safe access. Enbridge says testing has shown wildlife, surface water, and nearby residential well water have not been impacted. Soil and water monitoring are in place, along with plans to test and properly dispose of soil in the trench. Line 5 transports natural gas liquids; when those liquids were released, they rapidly vaporized into gases.

Starting Monday, September 14, construction will start on Winter Street and Susquehanna Avenue ahead of the start of the Blatnik Bridge Reconstruction Project.
